The Liberated Sound of the Free Key Choir

View descriptionShare

The Free Key Choir is a choir made up of diverse, young, queer talent that sings both traditional pieces and original music composed by young Bay Area composers. They attracted 80+ members in less than a year – coming out of a time when Covid made singing dangerous. Culture reporter Ariana Proehl previews their spring shows on March 17-18 in Oakland and on March 19 in San Francisco.
