San Francisco is facing a massive budget shortfall of 643 million dollars. In response, the city is looking to make cuts and one proposed target is its homelessness department. During a recent meeting, supervisors and advocates addressed the issue and raised concerns, partly because the mayor has promised to beef up shelter capacity. KQED’s Sydney Johnson explains.
