The Legacy Chef Charles Phan of SF's Slanted Door Leaves Behind

The Bay Area restaurant community is mourning the loss of one of its pillars. This week, Chef Charles Phan died from a cardiac arrest. He was 62. Phan was known for the Slanted Door. It was a Vietnamese restaurant that became an institution in San Francisco and got recognized nationally. For more on Phan and his legacy, we’re joined by KQED Food editor, Luke Tsai.
