Mort Sahl, widely considered as the first modern stand-up comedian, died this week at home in Marin County at the age of ninety-four. The Mill Valley resident developed his act in the Bay Area and continued to perform locally until close to the end of his long life. KQED’s Chloe Veltman spoke with artists here about Sahl’s impact.
