To bring Scriabin’s vision to life, the inside of Davies Symphony Hall will be illuminated with lights of various colors to match the music. On top of that, a specialist from Cartier has designed an aroma experience where perfumes will be released into the concert hall — all while Esa-Pekka Salonen conducts the mystical 20-minute piece, full of swirling strings and loud fortissimos. If it sounds like a lot, it is.
