San Francisco Supervisor Joel Engardio has built a political image on supporting the recalls of other city politicians. Now he could soon face a recall from his own constituents in the Sunset District - this after he supported a ballot measure that voters approved last November. Proposition K permanently closed car access on a two-mile stretch of the Great Highway. This area has become a new park, called Sunset Dunes. Backers of the recall effort are just shy of the 10-thousand signatures needed. Their deadline is today. Supervisor Engardio recently joined KQED's Scott Shafer on our Political Breakdown podcast.
