SF Sidewalk Planters Draw Criticism from Unhoused Advocates

Some neighborhoods in San Francisco have tried to brighten up their streets, you might see this as sidewalk planters. They’re typically half barrel size, full of everything from flowers to just mulch - and while this seems innocuous, they’ve drawn heavy criticism from advocates fighting for the rights of unhoused people.  And as KQED’s Juan Carlos Lara reports, public records show the city has a role to play, too.
