San Francisco Mayor Daniel Lurie is proposing major cuts to homeless services in an effort to balance the city’s nearly $800 million budget deficit.  He’s called for shifting some of these funds away from homeless prevention programs to beef up shelter capacity. Advocates and experts are concerned that it will exacerbate homelessness in the city. KQED’s Sydney Johnson has more.
