Tensions have been high between the tenants and landlords of the San Jose Flea Market ever since the San Jose City Council voted unanimously to approve redevelopment of the market’s land into a multi-use housing, office and retail space. The development is called the Berryessa BART Urban Village and it's expected to bring more money, housing and jobs to the South Bay. But it’ll also displace more than 400 small businesses that currently call this space home. KQED’s Adhiti Bandlamudi joins us to explain the latest.
