Summer in the Bay Area is the season for Jazz! Starting in June, SFJAZZ in San Francisco is holding summer sessions featuring music by icons as well as contemporary artists. And later in August, there’s the San Jose Summer Jazz Fest. Outside the concert halls, there’s a Church in San Francisco where the music of John Coltrane is considered sacred text.
