We have made it to the LAST DAY of  what's already been deemed the HOTTEST MONTH on record... California has not been spared...Parts of the state saw triple-digit temperatures AGAIN over the weekend. When it gets THIS hot, the *Bay Area might not feel it as intensely,  BUT it does have to brace for AIR QUALITY alerts. 
So we turn now to a profile by KQED's Anna Marie Yanny.  She spoke with an advocate who lives in SAN LEANDRO... an East Bay city near highways and industry ... about why she petitioned her local LIBRARY to LEND out air quality monitors.
