Pelosi/Shafer 2way

View descriptionShare

As Democrats figure out the path to 2026, one of the party’s top leaders says that without a majority in Congress, public opinion is the way forward.  San Francisco Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi has tried to increase Democratic support, with a focus on continuing to criticize the Trump administration and Republicans in Congress over issues affecting voters’ pocketbooks.  Her district has been at the center of debates over federal funding - like the targeting of the agency that runs the Presidio, and the city’s legal actions aiming to block the president’s recent executive orders over immigration, the environment and the federal workforce.  Pelosi sat down with KQED politics editor Scott Shafer on Monday.
