Oakland Celebrates Completion of New Affordable Housing Project

View descriptionShare

Federal data show that last year, over half of renter households across the Bay Area were cost-burdened - meaning they paid at least a third of their income toward housing costs. And the people most likely to be cost-burdened are Black and Latino. In light of this landscape, the completion of an affordable housing project is typically considered a big win - like yesterday in West Oakland. KQED’s Sara Hossaini takes us to the Prescott Station.
