Federal prosecutors say they’re opening an investigation associated with the California law that allows K-12 students to play on sports teams regardless of their gender identity. Earlier this week, President Donald Trump threatened to withhold federal funds - calling out the participation of a 16-year-old transgender girl who qualified to compete in the state track and field championships this weekend in Fresno County.
