FAFSA Application Still Rife with Confusion for Students and Families

California students have until today to apply for financial aid for college. The state pushed back the deadline … following the disastrous rollout of the FAFSA form. The Education Department overhauled the application … and that caused numerous delays and glitches. 

Federal education officials say they’ve fixed the issues … but the confusion has left millions of students and their families without a clear idea of how they’ll pay for college. 

For more on all this, we’re joined by Manny Rodriguez. He’s a policy director with the Oakland-based nonprofit, Institute for College Access and Success.
