The Bay Area nonprofit Alliance for Girls says existing issues for young women and gender nonconforming youth have gotten even worse during the pandemic. 

The group says young women are already relied on more to take on household responsibilities and childcare, and are also more likely to be depressed. New research surveyed hundreds of young people and is posing some solutions.
