It's a big day for rail travel in Southern California. After being shut down since early June because of a coastal landslide that endangered the tracks, full Amtrak and commuter rail service between Los Angeles and San Diego has been restored starting today. Train passengers have had to get off the train and get on buses for part of their trips.
