After 80 Years of Broadcasting, KGO Says Goodbye

View descriptionShare

Bay Area listeners who tuned into KGO 810 AM for decades will have to gear up for programming changes. Late last week, the station said goodbye in a statement on its website and over Twitter. KGO is owned by the broadcast company Cumulus Media. For 80 years, KGO produced news talk shows that gained a loyal audience across the Bay. One of the people who helped make that happen is Nikki Medoro. She became the first woman to host a morning drive talk show on KGO.
