Chevron has continued a troubling trend for California...  the oil and gas giant is just the latest big corporation to leave the Golden State.

Companies that have left California in recent years include Space X, Hewlett Packard, Oracle, Charles Schwab, Toyota and Tesla.

How worried should Californians be about the state of their economy ... and what can be done to make doing business here a little easier?

To get some answers ... KNX chief correspondent Charles Feldman called up Lee Ohanian, an economist at UCLA and the Hoover Institute.

On the flip side of this issue:  business license applications in California are up nearly 47% since the start of 2023. That's the biggest increase of any state in the country.
