It was an ugly start to the week for Wall Street ... and for investors all around the world.

The Dow Jones fell over 1,000 points, in its worst stock sell-off since 2022.  There are a whole host of complicated factors behind the sinking stock markets ... but at the core are concerns about the long-term health of the American economy.

KNX chief correspondent Charles Feldman talked with Kriti Gupta, markets correspondent for Bloomberg News and host of Bloomberg's "The Opening Trade" show ... and asked her why ... after stock markets were soaring to new heights just one month ago ... they're suddenly crashing.

Economists at Goldman Sachs have increased their odds of the American economy slipping into recession over the next year ... although they're still putting those chances at just 25-percent.
