What would an impeachment of a U.S. Supreme Court Justice look like?

View descriptionShare

Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito, at various points over the last three years, was flying flags heavy with right-wing symbolism over his houses.

The question now is what, if anything, Congress should do about the possibility of a biased Supreme Court Justice.  One option is impeaching Alito, but that course of action would be incredibly difficult.

To check on how impeaching a judge might work, KNX chief correspondent Charles Feldman called up Paul Collins ... he's a professor of legal studies at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst who specializes in Supreme Court procedures.

The chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Senator Dick Durbin, says he's considering what action to take next ... but he argues it's absolutely necessary for Alito to recuse himself from any cases involving Donald Trump or January 6th.
