Underwhelming July jobs report raises the specter of recession -- and regrets for not lowering interest rates sooner

The July jobs report came in well under expectations. Hiring slowed down to 114-thousand new jobs created.  The unemployment rate rose to 4-point-3-percent.

And now there are some fears of a bumpy landing and a recession.

KNX News chief correspondent Charles Feldman talked to Washington Post economics columnist Heather Long.

Traders on Wall Street were feeling pretty grumpy about the disappointing July jobs report.
