Voting is underway in the U.S. House of Representatives to approve the deal struck between House Republicans and the Biden White House to raise the debt ceiling.

And while a catastrophic default on payments by the federal government seems off the table ... there will still be fallout from this agreement.

That's because in order to raise the debt ceiling, the Biden administration signed off on some spending cuts to social welfare programs ... and agreed to some new work rules for food assistance.
