The latest COVID vaccine rollout has been a bumpy one, with the blame falling on insurance companies

View descriptionShare

The rollout of the latest round of the COVID vaccine has not gone as smoothly as hoped.

Gone are the days when anyone could walk into a pharmacy or their doctors' office to get the shot, no questions asked.

That's because it's no longer a government funded program ... if you want the latest COVID vaccine, either yourself or your insurance company are going to have to pay for it.

And that's where the complications lie.

Some patients were getting charged between 120 and 190 dollars to get vaccinated at pharmacies.
