San Jose's Mayor not fully on board with Gov. Newsom's homeless camp clearing executive order -- preferring a more thoughtful, comprehensive approach

A few weeks ago, Governor Newsom issued that controversial executive order for cities to be more aggressive in clearing homeless camps.
  
Some cities embraced it, others say a more comprehensive approach is needed.

That includes Los Angeles ... and San Jose.  While San Jose officials agree with Governor Gavin Newsom's executive order compelling cities to act on the camps... San Jose Mayor Matt Mahan argues that a more thoughtful and comprehensive policy will be needed to truly solve the homeless crisis.

KNX News chief correspondent Charles Feldman talked with San Jose Mayor Mahan.

It's estimated that San Jose has the fourth largest homeless population, per capita, in the country ... after Los Angeles, New York, and Eugene, Oregon.
