Pandemic lockdowns change teenage brains

We've talked a lot about the pandemic, the lockdowns and their impacts on the mental health of teenagers. It hasn't been good. A new study shows the stress of the lockdowns prematurely aged the brains of teenagers by at least three years. It happened in ways similar to changes seen in children who have dealt with chronic stress and adversity. Study lead author, Ian Gotlib, is with us. He's a psychology professor at Stanford.
