Several city, county and state governments across the country have taken aim at the popular social media app TikTok in recent months.

Use of the Chinese-developed app has been restricted  on the smartphones and computers of many local governments.

Today it was the turn of Orange County, which voted to boot TikTok from all county electronic devices.

The concern is that the presence of TikTok on government devices might constitute a security risk.
