With the April 1st deadline to pay their workers a $20/hour minimum wage, California's fast food franchises are shifting into cost cutting mode--with layoffs and hours cutbacks for workers.

Keith Miller at the American Association of Franchisee and Dealers -- himself the owner of three Subway franchises in California -- tells KNX that some cutbacks at most fast food restaurants  are inevitable as owners adjust to the higher labor costs.
