The President of the United States has labeled the pro-Palestinian protest ... which ultimately turned violent ... that broke out in front of a Pico-Robertson synagogue on Sunday as anti Semitic.  So has LA Mayor Karen Bass, California Governor Gavin Newsom, and a whole host of other elected officials and analysts.

So ... how would an Islamic group here in Los Angeles characterize what went down yesterday?  KNX chief correspondent Charles Feldman reached out to Hussam Ayloush, he's executive director of the LA-chapter of the Council of American-Islamic Relations ... and asked him if protesting Israel's war in Gaza ... in front of a LA synagogue ... was anti Semitic.

The Anti Defamation League, in its reporting, says that last year represented a record-increase in the number of anti Semitic incidents and attacks in Los Angeles.
