Los Angeles council members voted to begin what's being described as an expedited citywide crackdown on encampments where people are using illegally parked RVs and cars as housing.
A similar motion that proposed a lengthy study on the problem failed. Instead council members unanimously agreed to a 90-day program that will count encampment vehicles and determine the cost of towing and storage.
