Deaths from drug overdoses have been on a steady upward trajectory in the United States for almost three uninterrupted decades.
So when new CDC data came out this morning showing what could be a slight decrease in overdose deaths ... or at least a leveling off ... there was both excitement and caution among the experts who have been tracking this uniquely American epidemic.
KNX chief correspondent Charles Feldman talked with one of those experts ... epidemiologist Brandon Marshall at Brown University, who focuses on substance abuse ... and asked him whether he's convinced that drug overdose deaths are really slowing.
