President Biden is taking a page from his controversial predecessor ... with the new executive orders Biden announced today on border security and the asylum process. Much like Donald Trump, Biden is seeking to dramatically slow down the intake and processing of migrants seeking asylum ... at the expense of slowing overall legal immigration into the country.
KNX chief correspondent Charles Feldman checked in with Dana Leigh Marks, she's a retired federal immigration judge who presided over thousands of asylum cases ... he asked what she thought were the long-term answers for stabilizing the U.S. southern border:
We'll see whether the Biden executive actions even get a chance to play out at the southern border ... already several immigrant advocacy groups have indicated that they will file lawsuits to stop the asylum-restriction plan.
