It's frustrated parents vs. the LAUSD, UTLA in new lawsuit over delayed return to in-class teaching

View descriptionShare

Students at Los Angeles Unified School District campuses are finally heading back to classrooms a little later this month, but that didn't happen until a months long, bitter fight over reopening schools.

And even when students are back in the weeks ahead, they're only kinda back.........with just a few hours a week in the class.

A group of frustrated parents saw enough, they're suing the district and the teachers union---we're talking with both sides of this argument.

Timothy Snowball is litigation counsel for Freedom Foundation; they're representing the angry parents

--and--

Glenn Sacks is a social studies teacher at James Monroe High School in LAUSD.......while he is the the UTLA rep for Monroe High, he is talking with us today representing only himself and the perspective of rank-and-file teachers, not the union
