The measles were declared "eliminated" from the United States back in 2016 by the Pan American Health Organization ... and while infections never went away completely, thanks to widespread vaccination against measles, the disease stopped presenting a public health threat.
Fast forward to 2024, where vaccinations have become political, the measles are making a comeback. An outbreak that started at a Florida elementary school is threatening to get a lot worse ... could it happen here in Southern California?
