A new profile from the National Association of Realtors has just found American home buyers are older, whiter and wealthier than at any time in recent memory. First-time buyers now account for the smallest share of the market in 41 years. Austin Clemens is director of economic measurement policy at the Washington Center for Equitable Growth.

Homebuyers are older, whiter and richer

As public health officials grow increasingly more concerned about the spread of the H5N1 bird virus among cattle stocks in the U.S., there are parallels being drawn to the start of the COVID pandemic.

And those parallels aren't exactly hopeful.

Dr. Art Caplan heads the medical ethics department at NYU ... he tells KNX News that in just a few short years, we've seemingly forgotten ALL of the lessons we should've learned from COVID.

He says we're once again letting our guard down as the bird flu is spreading.

Dr. Caplan tells us even if the H5N1 virus doesn't turn into a global threat ... the next dangerous virus is likely already out there.

The latest round of bird flu testing in cows shows signs of the dead virus actually making into the milk supply that ends up supermarket shelves.

Lessons NOT learned from COVID could now be putting us in a blind spot for H5N1

At what is supposed to be a celebratory and joyous time of the year, there is instead a lot of frustration and bitterness on the USC campus right now.

We caught up with Jonathan Park ... he's a USC junior majoring in applied mathematics, and also happens to be the managing digital editor of USC's newspaper, the Daily Trojan.  

We asked him whether he's seen or heard of any violent incidents.

Were the protests or camps disruptive to student life on USC's campus?

Park says that after surveying a broad sampling of USC students, on both sides of the Israel-Palestinian divide, most people blamed campus tensions on university leadership.

Parks says there's a sense of resignation and disappointment among seniors over the cancellation of the main stage graduation.

Final exams and the Spring semester will wrap up on USC by May 8th.
