Heading into the new school year, USC laid down the law for its fraternities and sororities.  After years of scandals around hazing, excessive drinking and sexual assaults, USC's administration had seen enough ... it introduced a slate of reforms, including requiring frats to have security on hand for parties, scanners to check ID's and the banning of beer kegs.

The fraternities were not happy.

Instead of complying with the new rules, at least half-a-dozen USC fraternities have decided to disassociate themselves with the university.  And this is a growing trend among dozens of frats spread out across several major universities.
