That's because about 23-percent of people in L-A County are currently reporting a cough or shortness of breath right now, according to a recent survey. 

Urgent cares and emergency rooms around Southern California are seeing an influx of patients complaining of symptoms ranging from fevers to coughs to sore throats.  

We spoke to Dr. David Cutler, Chairman of the Santa Monica Family Physicians medical group, he says COVID cases are rapidly on the rise ... and some people might not even realize they're infected.

Dr. Cutler says you can be sick with multiple viruses at once ... he saw one patient who had COVID, RSV AND strep throat.
