Many people who live and work in Los Angeles are considered "unbanked" -- that means they don't have a checking account or a credit or debit card.

Increasingly, many businesses have gone cashless for purchases, but Council member Heather Hutt tells KNX News' Craig Fiegener she wants a city law that would REQUIRE many L.A. business owners to continue taking cash.
