A CDC advisory committee has voted in favor of adding the Covid vaccine to the recommended immunization schedule for children and adults.  This is a recommendation only, but it's guidance used by school districts, universities, camps and the like when they compile lists of required inoculations.

But even as a recommendation, it's reignited fierce fighting over vaccine mandates.

The CDC routinely tweaks its immunization guidance, so it's no surprise that the COVID vaccine was added to the list.  And of course, schools have long required all sorts of different vaccinations of young students.
