In a last-minute effort to avoid a trial, Hunter Biden pleaded guilty to 9 tax-evasion-related crimes just before jury selection was set to begin in Los Angeles. After nearly six hours, fire crews rescued a construction worker trapped in a trench in the Los Feliz area. And three juveniles are being accused of triggering the Hawarden Fire that destroyed seven homes and damaged another 17 in the city of Riverside back in July; two are in police custody.
