The Pentagon is planning to deploy a brigade combat team from the Army’s 82nd Airborne Division to the Middle East to support operation against Iran. A written order to deploy the unit, made up of roughly 3,000 soldiers, is expected in the coming hours, the officials confirmed. 

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman sees a “historic opportunity” to remake the region, according to people briefed by U.S. officials on the conversations. 

President Trump announced The US will hold off on striking Iranian energy infrastructure and that any negotiated settlement would include Tehran handing over its supply of enriched uranium, a critical element of the country’s nuclear program.
