Uber is rolling out a nationwide “Women Drivers” option that lets women riders — and teens using supervised teen accounts — request female drivers, while women drivers can choose to accept trips only from women.

The expansion comes even as Uber faces a California class‑action lawsuit from male drivers who argue the policy is discriminatory and violates the state’s Unruh Civil Rights Act, though Uber says the feature is a common‑sense safety measure driven by user demand.
