A former activist connected to the “pray‑away‑the‑gay” movement is facing criminal charges after Orange County deputies say he was arrested in a child‑exploitation sting operation. The case has drawn attention because of the suspect’s past public role, highlighting concerns about online safety and law enforcement efforts to combat exploitation crimes. 

Hooters is undergoing a major rebrand to shift away from its controversial image and reposition itself as a more family-friendly, neighborhood-style restaurant focused on food, community, and a relaxed atmosphere. The change comes after the original founders regained control following bankruptcy, with plans to update uniforms, improve menu quality, and reconnect with a broader audience, including families.
