Many athletes quote the verse from Philippians 4:13,“For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.” And it’s true! In this episode, we hear from 3 amazing collegiate athletes from 3 different sports who tell their stories of overcoming the odds. Zach Nelson, a regional director with the Orange County Fellowship of Christian Athletes, who played NAIA Division I baseball, is joined by two NCAA Division II college athletes: Peyton Darm, a recent graduate from Vanguard University and a women’s volleyball player, as well as Josiah Kirby, a current Track and Field athlete with Vanguard University, as well as a retired US Marine. All of these athletes share with us their stories and how God worked in their lives through collegiate athletics, both on individual as well as team levels. Whether you are an athlete or not, we hope their stories of faith in athletic culture will encourage you.
