Hey friends, it's Mister Jim and welcome back to kids short stories. Of this is your first time. Welcome to the family where we built stories every single day. Yeah, kids just like you send in ideas and then I turned them into an awesome adventure. So you need to make sure that you smash the follow button. Smash it. It might look like a plus sign or it says follow, but either way, I need you on our team every single day. Well, my friends, are you ready for to day's adventure? Me Too. Let's go. It was a beautiful day outside as West was playing in his backyard. Well, actually, he wasn't playing, he was on a hunt, and his mission would be considered impossible by most, but he never gave up. You See, there was this ginormous rock in his backyard that he had spent his entire life trying to flip it over to see what was what was underneath. And Uh, that's a pretty awesome mission, because I like flipping rocks over too and looking for things. Maybe a critter is under there that I could learn about, or maybe a treasure. You just never know what could be under neath a rock. And you're not gonna believe what he found. West had wedged a giant stick underneath part of the Rock and had put another rock underneath the stick, and so then he could push down on the stick and hopefully it would flip the rock over, but it was a very heavy rock. Hey, west, it's almost time for lunch. Come inside in a few minutes. Shouted Lucy, his babysitter. Okay, I'll be right there. I'm just trying to flip this rock over. I got so close, but okay, I'll be right there, shouted West. He was almost out of breath from pushing so hard and trying to flip this giant rock over, but he was not about to give up. Okay, I think I just gotta I gotta jump on it with all my weight and all my might and maybe I'll be able to budge that giant rock. One, two, three up. It worked just then as he came down landing on that big stick, it did move the Rock. It didn't flip it over, but it got it unstuck from the dirt that it was so deeply stuck upon. Lucie, can you help me? What's going on out there? Shouted Lucy as she was running outside. I finally got this big rock unstuck from the ground and I just have to see what's underneath it. Can you help me try and push it over? Yeah, sure, said Lucy. She knelt down on her on both knees and grabbed onto the rock with both hands. West used both of his arms, but had dug his two ft into the ground to give him like a jump start, like a racer takes their marks before they start to run really fast. All right, let's do this on the count of three, said West. One, two, three food. With West and Lucy both pushing with all their might, they were finally able to flip the giant rock over. WHOA, we did it. Did you see anything in there? Said West. Lucy was already knelt down and looking around throughout the dirt and she pointed at something. Look at that, it looks like there's a shiny thing in the dirt over there, said Lucy. She was pointing towards something that was covered up in mostly dirt, look like it had been there for I don't know, hundreds of years or something, and West carefully undug it from the soil. And it was a key, and not your average key that might open up a car or a house, but like a treasure chest kind of looking key. If you close your eyes and imagine a key that would open a treasure chest, what does it look like? Well, this key looks exactly like that. Lucy looked at west and said, did you put this here? Are you tricking me? No, I promise, I promise I didn't put it here. If I've been trying to move this rock over like my whole life and I finally did it, this is real. There must really be a treasure there. What are you talking about? There being a treasure, said Lucy, and you said where? Do you have an idea of where it is? I do, come with me. West started running into the forest nearby. He was obviously running to somewhere he had been before, and Lucy was trying to keep up close behind. But West West was really fast. He was a lot faster than his babysitter. West West, slide out, I can barely keep up, shouted Lucy. As she rounded at a corner. She had to screech on her brakes because all of a sudden there was west standing in front of a giant rock wall. West, why did you run so quickly out here? What's going on? Asked Lucy. You see I found this over here a long time ago and so I've been hoping to find a key one day and I'm pretty sure this is gonna fit in there. Look, West was pointing at a certain spot in this rock wall. You see, it was like a cliff. It was the side of a hill that had a bunch of rock exposed and there was this one section that looked like you could walk inside, like a cave, but it didn't go in very deep. It was closed off just by a bunch of rocks. But there was one rock that had a hole in it. It almost looked like a keyhole. But there's no way there could be a keyhole inside of a rock. Could there? West put in the key into that hole in that rock. It barely fit in as it scratched all the dirt and rock pieces around it, but he felt the key slip into the position that was supposed to be. Wait a second, it went all the way in. which way should I turn it? Asked West. I don't know. To the left. I think left is how you unlock something. Try that. Okay, west turned the key to the left and it turned and turned and then they heard a big cracking sound. Crack, crack, crack, crack, cracker. See Dove back away from the rock wall because she didn't know what was going to happen, but West couldn't take his eyes off it. He was looking for something moving, and there it was. Part of the Rock Wall had opened inward, like there was a door that went into the mountain. West couldn't believe it. His mouth was hanging wide open and he didn't know what to say. Is that for real? Did that really just open up a door? Said Lucy. All West could do was not his head. Yes, should we go inside? Said West. Um, I guess I don't have a flashlight with me. I do, said West. He always had a flashlight in his pocket. Okay, well, let's check it out. Just stay close, said Lucy. What in the world are West and Lucy going to find inside? I did that secret entrance into the mountain. Do you think there's really a treasure in there, or could there be something dangerous waiting for them inside? I'm not sure what's gonna happen, but we're gonna have to wait and see what happens on the next episode of kids short stories. Hey, Frienzigny, your help celebrating a birthday.
