About Mr. Jim:

Hi! I'm Jim Jacob, a South Carolina based creator. I started as a podcaster by accident. Our first real episodes on the internet were me trying to find a solution to help tell my sons stories as I was traveling for work. I recorded some stories and hoped that by uploading them to a podcast app, my wife and kids could have easy access to listen. What started as a fix for our family’s bedtime routine interruption has grown into a worldwide audience with hundreds of thousands of listeners. My wife Jocelyn and I have 3 kids and love inspiring others towards greater imagination and curiosity.

Hey friends, it's mister jim Man. Welcome back to Kit Short Stories. If this is your first time, welcome to the family. We are the podcast that turns your ideas into an amazing adventure every single day. You know, we couldn't even exist without imaginations from kids just like you. So if you have an idea for a story, I'd love to see it. Check down in the show notes below for how you can submit your own story idea and maybe we'll turn it into an awesome adventure. And parents, if you're new to kids podcasting, I'm gonna challenge you to listen to podcasting for five days in a row with your kids. It's going to increase their imagination, decrease screen time, and we're gonna have a lot of fun along the way. Are you guys ready for today's adventure? Me too, Let's go. Calli was chasing Cassie around the playground one day when she tripped over something sticking out of the ground. Ouch, who was that? Callie yelped as she sat up after tumbling to the ground. She wiped the dirt off her pants and went to find what had tripped her. Cassie saw Callie looking around the ground pushing dirt and wood chips out of the way, and walked over to her. Did you drop something, Cassie asked. Callie shook her head. I was running and tripped over something. Gotta find out what it was. Then Callie gasped, whoa, whoa? What is that? Cassie exclaimed. Callie had revealed a large circular rock that looked like a trapdoor hidden in the ground. A carving of a paw with claws covered the entire doorframe. What the is that a carving of a dog print, wondered Cassie. Kelly frowned at that. I think it's a cat. Look at the claws.

Shash.

Kelly had placed her hand on the pap print and both girls had to jump back as the door opened. Inside there was a steep ramp leading down somewhere beyond view. We have to see where this leads, Cassie pleaded, So the two girls climbed into the trap door and down the steep ramp into a dark tunnel. Holy smokes, would you be that brave? I don't know, that's pretty brave. They felt their way along the walls with their hands and took very careful steps, struggling to even see what was right in front of them. There was a light, though, coming from a small opening up ahead. It wasn't big enough for the girls to walk through, so they would have to crawl. Callie peeked in first, She laughed, and then crawled through. What is it? What'd you see? What's in there? Said Cassie, but Callie was already on the other side. Cassie got in her hands and knees and followed through. The girls were now standing in a large room covered in furniture. There was a big red couch with claw marks on the sides, potted plants that were all the same, leafy, green, and cat trees of all sizes lining the walls. Cassie opened the closet and was greeted with superhero outfits and green and red and blue and purple masks. The outfits looked small, much smaller than your normal superhero, and when Cassie pulled went out, she noticed it had four legholes, even a spot for a tail rattle. Ng Umnscler growled a voice from the entryway. They whipped around to see a black cat in an orange superhero outfit, arching its back and staring at them. Its tail puffed out like a feather duster. Whoa, whoa, you scared me a waiter? Are you a superhero kitty, Cassie asked, still holding the costume. The cat jumped up onto the nearest cat tree and looked down on them, all.

Them super cat How DoLS her found our secret layre?

Callie shrugged. Oh, I I was playing on the playground and I tripped over the door. Just then a stream of cats came through the door, wearing superhero suits of all different colors. The black cat filled the other supercats in on the humans that were in the secret Layer and began introducing them on Karma.

Littles, Whiskers, crook Shunks, Salom, Panel, Ronald and all the rest of the cats are still out that are following Adoster, little.

Dargles, Bano Bano Bano. An alarm cut through and interrupted their conversation. Sars urmans roll it down a girl? Uh popular to some Tatma Comet said, gesturing to the plants all around the room. Then, with a chorus of meows, the superhero cats sprinted out the door. Cassie was right behind them. Come on, let's follow them. I gotta see what that alarm was for. The girls scrambled out of the cat door and saw an orange tail disappearing to their left. This was not the same way they had come in. There must be more than one trap door, Callie whispered excitedly. They followed the sound of meowing and claws scratching in the ground until they saw a light above them. The cats were exing up a ramp nowed onto a farm. Above. The girls watched with their heads poking out of the trap door. The super cats were surrounding a chicken coop, yowling and hissing out into the distance. Calie squinted, seeing coyotes sneaking or around toward the chicken coop. The coyotes heard the cats, but they weren't scared, not yet. But when they got close enough, the super cats spring into action. Cats flew through the air, leaping, kicking, and scratching at the coyotes. A gray tiger striped cat landed on the back of a coyote and covered the coyotes eyes with its paw, Hey, where'd everyone go? Who turned out the lights? Whine the coyotes that spun around. The cats continued pouncing and hissing until every last coyote had ran away with its tail between its legs. The chickens all clucked, happily thanking the supercats or protecting them. Quick they're coming back, Cassie squeaked to Calli, and the two girls quickly snuck back into the door, hiding behind the ramp. No sooner had they hid than the supercats began leaping through the trap door and bounding down the tunnel. The girls followed them, but the cats didn't head back towards the cat door. Instead they ran pasted it, this time making left and right turns through the tunnels until they popped up at another trap door. Now they were in a backyard. A grill was smoking and a pack of dogs were prowling around it, licking their lips. A big juicy steak was placed on a plate beside the grill. Oh dear waiting to go on, screeched the cats as they launched themselves at the trespassing canines. The dogs were surprised and tried to scare the cats off, but it was no use. These were the brave super cats and they were not going to let these dastardly dogs steal any steaks. A tabby cat leaped in front of the steak and started waving its arms in what the It's like a kung fu cat? What since when dow cats? No gung Fu? The dogs backed away as more supercats jumped down in front of the grill. They all hissed at once, and the dogs jumped into the air, running out of the yard as fast as they could away from those supercuts. No dog, we'll steal dinners and the supercats said, he shouted comet. The other cats cheered in response. They began to make their way back down the ramp as the girls hid once again. Then they hit it through the tunnels back toward their lair. Cassie and Kelly followed behind. We know you're there, you know me, add one of the supercats. What how, said Cassie.

We're cats Rochon flew on the dark remember?

Oh yeah, Calli laughed as and the girls stopped trying to tiptoe in the darkness. They caught up to comment in the front of the pack, that was so cool. Can we please come back again sometime? Comment thought about it for a minute, then responded.

The supercuts ler those top silk rut Well, no, the tlip barto. The silk ruts are with the tip chicken salve from those calordles and dinners from those smooth little dogs. Yeah. Sort then come back under one condition.

What's that, asked Cassie, bring pluntle of turner.

Those mushuns moped us hungry.

Cassie, Calli and Commet all laughed. They said they're good behies and headed out of the tunnel under the playground. They immediately went to the store to stock up on cans of tuna or their next adventure with the supercuts cuts cuts cuts the end. Great job, you listened all the way to the end, and you know what tum it is. It's time for Kurd Shout out Sodas. Say hey to Riah from Minnesota, Gareth from Kansas City, for Nell from Arizona, Liam from Massachusetts, Chief from Saint Joseph Vincent, and Zoe from Texas. I'm so glad that you're all in the kit Short Stories family. We could not have this much fun with imagination without you, my friends. Well, you have a super duberday and I'll see you on her next adventure. Bye.
