About Mr. Jim:
Hi! I'm Jim Jacob, a South Carolina based creator. I started as a podcaster by accident. Our first real episodes on the internet were me trying to find a solution to help tell my sons stories as I was traveling for work. I recorded some stories and hoped that by uploading them to a podcast app, my wife and kids could have easy access to listen. What started as a fix for our family’s bedtime routine interruption has grown into a worldwide audience with hundreds of thousands of listeners. My wife Jocelyn and I have 3 kids and love inspiring others towards greater imagination and curiosity.

Hey friends, it's mister jim Man. Welcome back to Kit Short Stories. If this is your first time, welcome to the family. We are the podcast that turns your ideas into an amazing adventure every single day. You know, we couldn't even exist without imaginations from kids just like you. So if you have an idea for a story, I'd love to see it. Check down in the show notes below for how you can submit your own story idea and maybe we'll turn it into an awesome adventure. And parents, if you're new to kids podcasting, I'm gonna challenge you to listen to podcasting for five days in a row with your kids. It's going to increase their imagination, decrease screen time, and we're gonna have a lot of fun along the way. Are you guys ready for today's adventure? Me too, Let's go. Spark was a shark who was tired of swimming. Oh man, I really want to walk, said Spark to any sea creature that would listen. But they didn't understand his dream. You're a shark, they would shout. You swim in the seas for the ocean gobblefish in the Gulf. Walking is not what a shark should want, but Spark would not be deterred. Well, I am a shark and I will walk. Just you wait, Spark. The shark would practice his walk on the ocean floor. Left tail fin forward, right tail fin forward, repeat. Look at me, I'm doing it, He shouted to the sea snails. What sharks don't walk? They would shout, come on, use your fans and swim around. But no one could stop Spark. He was determined. He had a dream and he would achieve it. One day, as he was waltzing around a sea bottom with his tail, something floated down from the surface. A glass bowl slowly sank to the sand in front of him. It was round, in the perfect size to fit over his head. Huh, it's a sign from above, a helmet for land living, and sparked. The shark stuck the bowl to his head and swam up. As his bowl broke the surface, he tested its effectiveness. A tight fit to his face, no water leaked out, and the glass was clear, nothing obstructing his view. It's perfect, said Spark. This allowed him to breathe water while he was up above the water and air. He swam his way toward the beach. The beach goers saw the sharkfin approaching and ah shark in the water. They ran to safety on the sand under the water. Spark couldn't hear them. He approached the shallow end. Okay, just like I've practiced, he coached himself. Then he popped up his tail fin, waddling from the left to the right and repeated. He made it to the sand and continued on to the shore. The people were still screaming, ah shark out of the water. This was very confusing and everyone was running to safety into the water. Spark didn't notice, though, he was too busy strutting on the sand. Loay me, I did it, But no big deal. His helmet bowl was full of water and holding on tight. It was working perfectly. He strolled up the beach towards the snack bar. All of this excitement was making him very very hungry. Uh hi there when fish please? He requested at the counter. The worker was wowed by this out of water shark. He called back to the kitchen, Hey, brah, what are of fish and chips? And uh, keep it going quick, don't want to be me on the menu. Instead, the order came speedily for Spark. The shark, and he flapped his fin with glee at the golden fried fish and fries on his tray. He skipped over to a seat and tried to eat. Lifting the fish up to his face, he opened up wide and barked. Fish squished into the glass barrier that was the bowl. He tried to squeeze it under the bowl, but water dribbled dribbled out during his attempt. Oh dear, that's not good, ah man, the shark side no ledge on land for me, I guess. But not to be deterred, he kept walking down the boardwalk. Shop owners gave him a wide berth, meaning they got out of his way. Unsure of what he could do even if his jaws were stuck behind a glass bowl, Spark spotted a store full of clothes human fashion. Wow, perfect for a ladshad like May. But a last it was not to be. Spark could not fit his fin through the shorts, and he looked ridiculous in a bikini top. He tried to very very fancy hat, but he couldn't find one large enough for his bowl shaped head. He grabbed a beach towel instead. He tried to pay for this beach towel, but the store clerk wouldn't even come out from under the register. You just take it, please, it just don't eat me. But Spark knew that didn't feel right to just walk out with the towel without paying for it. Uh, okay, I'll just leave it here. I guess I'll be wearing my sharkskin suit. That's okay. Still having the best day ever. Nothing was going to get this shark down. He was on land, and he was walking a true dream come true. What else could he need? Spark walked himself further down the boardwalk. He wondered so far that the board walk stopped where the boardwalks go. He'd never seen the end of the boardwalk. He didn't know it ended. Who was beyond the boardwalk? Spark suddenly didn't want to know. He looked left and right, back and forth, up and down. He'd actually never been this far from the ocean. Uh, too far to lay too firefresh eck. His feet felt dry, his body felt like the grittiest sandpaper. He needed to get wet. Wock. He gets no joke, Spark said to himself. He didn't want to admit it, but he missed zigging and zagging through the waves. What good we're having so many fins here if he only used two of them. Spark was deep in thought, remembering the good old days before he was a land shark. When he was shocked back to the present. What was this so cool on his fin? Spark looked down and spotted his one full friend the water. He was so deep in thought he didn't even realize he was following his sharky heart back to the ocean. Well, since I'm here, spoosh Spark. The shark pulled off the bucket and dove back into the water. Who that was one wild adventure for this shark friend, one that I'm sure he'll never forget. The end, We'll be right back after a brief word from our sponsor. Great job, you listened all the way to the end, and you know what time it is. It's time for kid shout out.
So I want to say hey to Hartley, Maya and Ryan from Toronto, Canada, Tate from Denver, Beckham from North Carolina, Ava from United Kingdom, Isaac from Indiana, Axon from Missourian.
Emma from Florida. I'm so glad that you're all on the kid shorts or his family. We could not have this much fun with imagination without you, my friends. Well you have a super duper day and I'll see you on your next adventure. Bye.
