I can't wait to see it. Are you ready for the adventure? Let's go One day Michael, who was on the Spy Kids team, he was preparing to go on a hiking trip up a mountain. Yeah that sounds crazy, I know, but he was an expert in climbing snowy, icy mountains, and so he had to bring all this special gear, like special shoes with with spikes on them so he could kick them into the ice, and really warm clothes and all kinds of things. And so as he packed up his bag, he wanted, you know, to make sure that he had everything. And so he got a hair dryer and his toothbrush and um soap and some food and water and clothes and all the important things. He was ready to go. As he started up hiking up this mountain, he had heard some rumors and about a legend. Do you know what a legend is. Legend is a story that people tell for a very long time, and you're not sure if a legend is true or not, but it might be. And so Michael had heard a legend about up this mountain, this very tall mountain that he was about to climb, there was a cave at the very top, and inside this cave lived some kind of giant snow monster. I know, would that be exciting fun or scary to see a giant snow monster? Scary? Yeah, that's what I think too. But Michael, he was a little silly and was not scared of many things, or really anything at all. He was very, very brave, so that did not stop him from going on this exciting trip that he had been planning a long time. So as he put on the boots and all kinds of things, he started heading out. It was going to be a long hike, a very long hike up the mountain, but it's a good thing. He brought some snacks to chew on. Oh wow, this is really cool. The higher he went, the farther he could see. He had never been this high up a mountain before, so he could see for miles and miles, and the snow was getting deeper and deeper. The snow started to fall, and Michael needed to put some warmer gear on, so he pulled out a warm hat, gloves, and a bigger jacket out of his bag. He put him on and kept hiking. Wait what is that, Michael said, You see, no one should be up here, like he's the only one that goes up this trail. And but he saw some really big tracks in the snow, like some really big footprints that didn't look like normal boots. WHOA, that's crazy, Michael thought to himself. But huh, I guess there's some mother explorer up here. Do you guys think it's another explorer or do you think it's the giant snowmandster. I don't know. All right, let's let's wait and see. As Michael kept hiking up the mountain, he was closer and closer to the top. The top was so windy, and he had never been this high up before. This is so cool. He was on the tallest mountain in the whole area. And when you're the tallest thing you can see for a very long time. And he was so high up that there were no birds or other creatures up there. He was the only living creature on the top of this mountain, or so he thought. As Michael set his back down, he noticed something over there Hey, is that? Whoa Is that a cave? Michael was really excited. He really loved caves and he'd never been on like a mountaintop cave before, so he had to explore it. Should he go in there? Oh, my gosh, I don't know. As Michael walked inside with his bag, he wow, this is so amazing. Do you know what stillag tights and stalag mites are? Yeah, there's special rocks that form inside of a cave. The stalag tights are the pointy ones coming down from the ceiling because they got a hold tight under the ceiling. That's why we call them stillag tights. And the ones on the bottom that look like a pointy rock growing up from the ground, that's called a stalag might within might sound yeah, and so how those things form? The caves are so cool. Caves drip water because they're usually pretty wet, and that water inside of the water has special rock minerals and when over a long period of time it keeps dripping and up, chup chup, chup chrip, those little tiny little pieces of rock minerals gathered together to form those really cool salagtites and stalagmites. So maybe in your drawing. Why don't you draw this cave with the stalactites and stalagmites, It might look like teeth, all right? Was Michael kept walking deeper and deeper into the cave. M h uh was that Michael's stomach or what was that sound? Michael had never heard something like that before. He wasn't sure if it was the wind, but he thought to himself, like he just remembered that legend that you know, he'd heard about a giant snow monster that lived up in this cave. But there's no way that's real. But just in case, he started to look in his bag for anything that he might have to defend himself. Oh, man, I don't think um, toothbrush, that's not gonna be very helpful. Clothes nope, soap. Oh I could make him slip on the ground. Maybe, No, that's not a good idea. Um, A hair dryer kind of looks like a net shooter. M hmm. Hair dryers they do they blow hot air or cold air? Yes, some of them do both. Michael's blew very hot air. So he thought maybe he could scare whatever creature he just heard with the sound of a Yeah, let's try that. So He grabbed his hair dryer and started to walk deeper into the cave, holding a flashlight out and then all of a sudden, m h, there it was. It was a giant and snow monster. Ah did Michael scream? No way, Jose, because he was very brave, braver than me. I would have screamed so loud I might have fallen over. But this giant snow monster was humongous. His whole body went from the floor all the way to the ceiling of the cave, and he was made of snow. Oh no, what is Michael gonna do? Wait a second, he has a hair dryer, Andrew, you remember, does his hair dryer blow hot air or cold air? Hot air? And do you think a big snow creature? Do you think hot air might stop that snow monster? Yeah, Michael, turn on your hair dryer. As Michael turned on his hair a dryer, the giant snow monster his eyes got very large. They were so large they were the size as your dinner plate. Yeah, really big. And the snow monster, Oh no, it's working. He's melting. And the snow monster. He ran deeper and farther back into the cave. He was so afraid of Michael's hair dryer, and Michael was saved. I think that snow monster wanted to eat Michael, but there's no way that he was going to let that happen. Who I'm so glad I brought this hair dryer. Wow, gosh, I'm so lucky. And that was the day that Michael learned to always be prepared when he goes on adventures, even when it's just some kind of legend that he's heard, because maybe that legend is true. And today is the day that Michael learned that the giant snow monster who lives in the cave on the top of the tallest mountain was actually true the end. All right, friends, I would love to see your drawings of this snowy cave up on a mountain with stalactites and stalagmites and a giant snow monster inside. I can't wait to see it. Have a great day, guys, see you later. By wow, you listen all the way to the end of the story, which means it's time for some more kid shout out.
