About Mr. Jim:
Hi! I'm Jim Jacob, a South Carolina based creator. I started as a podcaster by accident. Our first real episodes on the internet were me trying to find a solution to help tell my sons stories as I was traveling for work. I recorded some stories and hoped that by uploading them to a podcast app, my wife and kids could have easy access to listen. What started as a fix for our family’s bedtime routine interruption has grown into a worldwide audience with hundreds of thousands of listeners. My wife Jocelyn and I have 3 kids and love inspiring others towards greater imagination and curiosity.

Hey friends, it's mister jim Man. Welcome back to Kit Short Stories. If this is your first time, welcome to the family. We are the podcast that turns your ideas into an amazing adventure every single day. You know, we couldn't even exist without imaginations from kids just like you. So if you have an idea for a story, I'd love to see it. Check down in the show notes below for how you can submit your own story idea and maybe we'll turn it into an awesome adventure. And parents, if you're new to kids podcasting, I'm gonna challenge you to listen to podcasting for five days in a row with your kids. It's going to increase their imagination, decrease screen time, and we're gonna have a lot of fun along the way. Are you guys ready for today's adventure? Me too, Let's go. Harry love to dance every day. Yeah, every day. He would put on some music and dance all around his house, backyard, neighborhood, and everywhere he went. He loved the sound of the guitar strumming and jamming along with the bass, guitar and the drums. He could dance to any beat, move his feet with any rhythm of the band Holy Smokes. Do you do you like to dance too? Oh? Yeah, me too. One day, Harry popped in his headphones and scrolled through his music selection. The guitar began a powerful melody brand as he danced around his backyard. I love this song, shouted Harry. He was so into dancing, Oh dere, He wasn't paying any attention to where he was going. Harry hadn't even realized that he had left his backyard until he packed ran into ouch the head Harry shouted, rubbing his forehead. His headphones fell out of his ears, and Harry noticed for the first time that he was waiting no longer in his backyard. In fact, he wasn't even outside any more. Harry looked around at his new surroundings. He was in a house much different than his own. It was dark, quiet, with gadgets and gears all around him. It looked like a laboratory of a mad scientist, you know, was placed in the living room of a cozy home. Very confusing. There were beakers and batteries on a side table. Han He walked over to examine their bubbling contents. As he did, Harry noticed his limbs felt stiff, his legs did not bend as they normally did. Then his arms felt stuck. I must have been dancing pretty hard, Harry thought, as he shuffled over towards the side table. There was something hanging above it, and Harry took a look. Harry thought it was a picture of a robot. But uh, what was strange was that the robot in the picture was painted in the same room he was in, and the robot was also wearing his clothes. Weird, said Harry, and the robot's mouth said the same. Aw Harry screamed, Then the robot did too. He reached up to touch his own face and surprised. Only then did Harry realize that he wasn't looking at a painting at all, but a mirror. Harry, he had been turned into a robot. No, no, I'm a robot, shouted Harry. He didn't want to be a robot. Robots can't dance. They only had, you know, one move the robot. Harry tried bending his arms at the elbows and waving them, but even that was hard to do. Robots were very stiff. Harry shuffled his feet across the floor, looking for something to change him back into a regular kid. He read the beakers and test tubes along the tables, Growth potion, invisibility serum, oh flying powder. Cool but not helpful. Harry was tempted to test them all, but he needed to turn back into a boy first. He didn't want to be a giant, invisible flying robot. He looked through the gadgets on the table. He found a super magnet and lean closer to get a better look. The magnet zipped through the air, immediately sticking itself to Harry's robot head. He tried to yank it off, but it wouldn't budge. Come on, magnet, get off my ear. With one final pull, the magnet flew off, flying across the room. It stuck itself to an old radio, clicking it on, music began blasting through the room. I love this song, Harry shouted. He just had to dance. His robot foot began tapping. His robot legs creaked and groaned as his knees bent creakily and squeakily. Harry began to move and groove despite his stiff robot body. The music flowed through Harry. He danced through the room of the house, around the tables of inventions and concoctions. He danced with his eyes closed, feeling the music. Harry danced all over the place until bock ouch. Harry cried, rubbing his head. There was already a bump forming on the top of his head, and his hair was warm from rubbing it. Hair way not metal, Harry thought and looked at his very now human arms. I'm not a robot anymore. He wiggled and jumped in excitement. Then he looked around and noticed he was no longer in the house either. How did I get back here? He wondered as he looked around in his backyard. He was relieved to be back and so happy he was no longer a robot. But you lies with disappointment. Ah. He had left his headphones at the strange scientist's house. Harry started walking toward the back door of his helm, hoping he could find another pair of headphones inside. He reached the steps and noticed a box sitting on them. He picked it up and examined the plane cardboard box Harry was written across the top. There was no return shipping label. He opened it up and looked inside my headphones. He heard something else roll across the bottom of the box and he felt around, pulling out a small vial. He read the label aloud, Flying powder Cool. Harry smiled and popped his headphones back into his ears. The music began playing, and as he danced, he pulled the stopper out of the bottle. Whoa, Oh, that may be the end of the story. But what do you think is gonna happen next? Do you think he's gonna pour the flying powder all over himself? Oh? Boy, how did that even happen with him turning into a robot? That's pretty wild? What would you do if you turned into a robot? Never better? Yet, would you rather turn into a robot or have flying powers? I think I'd rather have flying powers. Well, friends, that is the end of our story, but only just the beginning of some amazing adventures that lie ahead for our friend Harry. The end. Great job, you listened all the way to the end, and you know what time it is. It's time for cured shout out. I want to say, hey two Raga from Austin, Texas, Oki from New Zealand and evan Ian and Blake from Washington, Maya from Arkansas, Andy from Regina, and Tomo from Japan. I'm so glad that you're all on the Kid Short Stories family. We could not have this much fun with imagination without you, my friends. Will you have a super duper day and I'll see you on our next adventure. Bye.
