About Mr. Jim:
Hi! I'm Jim Jacob, a South Carolina based creator. I started as a podcaster by accident. Our first real episodes on the internet were me trying to find a solution to help tell my sons stories as I was traveling for work. I recorded some stories and hoped that by uploading them to a podcast app, my wife and kids could have easy access to listen. What started as a fix for our family’s bedtime routine interruption has grown into a worldwide audience with hundreds of thousands of listeners. My wife Jocelyn and I have 3 kids and love inspiring others towards greater imagination and curiosity.

Well, friends, are you ready for today's adventure? Me too, Let's go. Ella and Mason walked into their first classroom on Monday morning, expecting to see Miss williams smiling face. Instead, she was standing at the board, writing intently. Ella and Mason thought this was strange, but they sat down at their table and waited for their friends to show up. Miss Williams didn't turn around until everyone was seated. When the students saw her face, they gasped, do you know how to gasp? That's as long as I can gasp. Her usual smiling face was green. Dun Dun dune. The colorful headband they expected to see was missing, were replaced by what looked like two bouncing round lollipops sticking out of her black hair. Um uh, miss Williams, are you feeling okay? You look a little uh green, asked Mason. Miss Williams made a strange, squeaky noise as the lollipops began bouncing faster above her head. When she spoke, her voice sounded different.
I am fine, Let's practice spelling.
Miss Williams stepped aside so the class could see the board where the words for the spelling test were usually written, was now a bunch of gibberish squiggly lines, shapes, and little drawings were there instead. She pointed at the first word and called on Ella.
Young human in the purple chair read the first word.
Ella looked at the nonsense on the board and tried her best m squiggle, triangle, tiny, sail boot green. Miss Williams frowned.
No, the correct word is invade, as in aliens have invaded first grade, prepare to be taken to outer space.
The eyes of everyone in the classroom grew wide. Ella and Mason looked at each other. I knew Miss Williams looked funny this morning, whispered Mason. Ella nodded her head in agreement, then yelled run. Ella, Mason, and all of their classmates ran for the door. Luckily, alien Miss Williams didn't seem to be used to her human legs yet, so she moved very slowly and tripped over everything. They burst into the first grade hallway. Ella started running across the hall and shouted to Miss Warden's classroom. She and Mason were the first to the door and pushed their way inside. Miss Warden was standing in front of the class holding a book about outer space. Everything looked normal until she turned towards them. Miss Warden's skin was green too. She was holding the book with two hands while another hand was waving to them.
Hello, you bed students, want to learn about your new planet before we leave.
Ah, they screamed, before running out of the classroom. There were now even more students running through the hallways as Miss Warden's students escape with them. There was only one more first grade classroom left. We have to check mister Jim's room, Mason said to Ella. They ran towards the end to the hallway where mister Jim's classroom door was. Ella looked at Mason ookay, pull on the counter. Three one two three. They burst into the room to find the students crafting space helmets out of boxes, markers, and glue. A green Mister Jim was standing up in front demonstrating how to put them on their heads. Be careful not to pitch your antenna as you lower them over your hair, he told them as he carefully placed the box helmets over his three spiraled antennas run, Mason shouted to the students in the classroom. They all looked at him wide eyed, and ran into the hallway after them. Stop. Wait, you must wear your helmets on the space ship, shouted Alien mister Jim behind them. Now all of the first grade students were running around the hallway and it was crowded. No one was sure what to do next. They were afraid to check any other hallways in case there were even more Alien teachers or they accidentally ran towards the spaceship. No one wanted to accidentally send themselves to outer space. Today. As Mason and Ella tried to come up with a plan, Alien Miss Williams made it out into the hallway. There you are troublemakers. She raised a green finger at Ella and Mason. Let's get you on this ship first.
Uh no, no.
Ella and Mason turned to run, but they were nearing the end of the hallway. What do we do? Where do we go? They looked up and down the hallway. There were kids everywhere, but the alien teacher was only focused on them. She walked slow as a slug down the hallway towards them. A green hand was appearing from Miss Warden's doorway. Now too soon, Alien mister Jim would join and be after them as well. Oh dear, what do you think's gonna happen? But there was one door that was still closed, the custodian's closet. Maybe there's something in there we can use against them, said Mason. He pulled the door open with all of his strength, as alien Miss Warden shouted no, don't go in there. Inside there were real first grade teachers, the real ones. A purple blob stuck to each of their foreheads, and they were all asleep. Ella put on a pair of gloves from the box on the shelf and reached for the blob on mister Jim's head. It made a very loud suction noise as it popped off, and then mister Jim woke up immediately. Where are they? Ella pointed to the hallway behind them. Okay, great, uh take those blobs off the rest of the teachers. Just don't let them touch your skin, mister Jim instructed them, and pointing to the rest of the purple blobs, then he ran out into the hallway with the battle cry. Ella pulled the purple blobs off Miss Williams and Miss Warden. They both woke up as determined as mister Jim and ran out into the hallway after them. Ella and Mason followed them and saw mister Jim already had his alien impostor wrapped up in duct tape.
Let me out earth, laying, these are my human students.
Mister Jim tossed more rolls of tape to the other teachers and said, not today, Alien Impostor. The two free alien teachers tried to turn and run away, but they were much too slow. The real Miss Williams and Miss Warden had them taped in no time. Then Ello walked up and placed the purple blobs on each of their alien heads. Good night alien teachers. That students all helped carry the aliens outside of the playground. They shrieked in amazement at the tall black spaceship park next to the swings. The real first grade teachers put the alien teachers inside, shutting the door behind them and blasting them off to space. Wow, this may be the end of our story, and hopefully it's the end of any kind of aliens taking over their school ever again the end. Great job, you listened all the way to the end, and you know what time it is. It's time for kid shout out. I want to say Heyed Jasper from Texas, Savey Maya and Lincoln from Arkansas, Mirabella from Canada, I Met from Ontario, Mazie from Massachusetts, and Andy and Oakley from British Columbia. I'm so glad that you're all in the kitchens. Are his family. We could not have this much fun with imagination without you, my friends. Will you have a superd uber day and I will see you on her next adventure. Bye.
