Luke 18:1-8

Have you ever prayed for something over and over, and it felt like no one was listening? In today’s episode, we hear Jesus tell a parable — a special story with a deeper meaning — about a woman who didn’t give up.

She kept going to a judge who didn’t care about God or people. She begged for justice until he finally gave in. Jesus used this story to teach us something powerful: God is not like that unfair judge. God is good, just, and always listening to our prayers.

In this episode, kids will learn:
What a parable is.
What justice means in words they can understand
What it means to be persistent
Why Jesus wants us to keep praying and not lose heart.

Together we’ll see how God hears us when we pray and promises to make all things right in His perfect timing.

All of our readings have something in common....they speak of God's love for us. We are reminded of God's promises that hold true even when we do not feel it. The kids think about what having a bad day feels like and we discuss how feelings are important but sometimes, they can trick us to forget the truth. This is where we turn to our Bible and remind ourselves the truth of just how much God loves us regardless of if the day we are having feels like a good one or a bad one.

Today’s episode tells the  story of Joseph in Egypt from Genesis 39. Joseph worked hard, honored God, and stayed faithful—even when he was far from home, surrounded by people who didn’t know God, and when doing the right thing cost him something. His story reminds us that:
God is with us everywhere.
We can choose what is right, even when no one is watching.
Life isn’t always fair—but God always sees our faithfulness.
